Yes, the machine DOES afford you a more restful nights sleep. More energized in the morning. At least in MY experience.

I have never personally used a CPAP, but work with many clients who have (I'm a social worker). The changes I have seen were truly exceptional. People have gone from feeling exhausted at all times to really having life in them again. My boyfriend's father also has sleep apnea and began using a CPAP about a year ago. The quality of his sleep improved so much, and he says that he feels like a different person now.
I hope that you have just as successful of an outcome. Take care.

Yes, when used correctly and with the appropriate settings, you should find that you are sleeping better. I had issues with the mask on my face and had to switch the mask until I found one that worked for me. It turned out to be more gel than hard plastic touching my face.
Stick with it at least a month and if you find you still have a problem, you need to talk with your doctor again.

I use a CPAP machine, and while I'm naturally lazy, I concur that it does increase your energy level. I had a real problem falling asleep at work before I started using it, and I really noticed the difference the two times I was on a trip and fell asleep without my mask, it was hard to drive the next day. I really do urge you to get a mask, you'll notice the difference after one night. Good luck.

You will start feeling better using the CPAP machine. You also will feel like exercising as soon as you sleeping better and for a longer period of time. Your always tired because you are constantly waking up, even though you don't realize it. The CPAP will keep your breathing regular and thus you will not wake up struggling to catch your breath. If you have ever seen a baby or child gasping for breath during their sleep, this is exactly what you are doing each time you sleep. If you take naps during the weekend, use your CPAP then too.

Trust me, you will start sleeping better, thus you won't feel so tired. Just give it a couple of days or longer, don't give up if you don't feel more energy after the first night or two. Give the machine a chance to help you, don't give up.

Good luck!

It usually takes about a month to stop ripping it off in the middle of the night, but having a machine with a warm humidifier will help a great deal. I got my first machine in 1998 and I loved it. It's my best friend, lol. I usually get only about 5 hrs sleep now. I don't wake up yawning or stretching, my eyes just pop open and I'm done. When you start sleeping at night, getting exercises will be easy to do. Good luck.

My husband was diagnosed with sleep apnoea and found it very hard to come to terms with this. He also had problems using CPAP especially the mask. He has now had the mask changed and has been given a small piece that just goes in his nose. He says this is more comfortable. Unfortunately he doesn't use it every night, but I have noticed the difference in him when he does where it, he is more alert, stays awake and certainly has more energy!!

firstly if you lose weight then eventually you will not need the cpap machine
however this is the real world try and lose some weight it will help
the machine is a little noisy and you will have to wear a small mask which may take time to get used too, but it will resolve your problem
good luck lose some weight

I have had mine for two months. It hasn't made me feel like the energizer bunny yet. However It takes some getting used to. I have several friends that have them and they think they are great and make them feel more energetic.
